Kelli Lee Dillard

Kelli Lee lives in the beautiful city of Nolensville, TN with her husband, Devin and her fur baby, Willow. She happily teaches first grade in her hometown, Murfreesboro, TN. She began her teaching career four years ago as a third grade teacher and has now found her true calling as a first grade teacher for the past three years. Kelli Lee is very passionate about teaching and loving on all of the sweet children that come into her classroom and is looking forward to inspiring other teachers to do the same.

Katie Nanney

Katie is a Nashville native who has a passion for education- specifically continued education. She began her career in August of 2012 teaching third grade. She is married to her fun loving husband, Michael. Although, they don't have any children of their own yet, she considers each new group her "kids".  Katie is very passionate about collaborating to help build other teachers up.

Lindsey Brown

Lindsey was born and raised in middle TN. She graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Elementary Ed. Shortly after graduation she moved to Murfreesboro where she began my teaching career. Lindsey is currently in her third year of teaching and has been in kindergarten all 3 years (and LOVES it)! She lives with her husband, Robby and fur pup, Winston. She has had a passion for photography since she was a kid. It blossomed into a side business shortly after she moved to Murfreesboro when she was asked to shoot a wedding for a family friend. Lindsey is excited to join the Tenspire team and help out in this way!

Alex Juneau

Math Columnist

Alex is an East Tennessee native who teaches 3rd grade in Murfreesboro, TN. This is her 10th year in the classroom, and she loves the new experiences and learning opportunities that each year brings! Alex lives with her sweet husband, Tim, and their 2 fur babies- Titan and Lola. She is excited to be a part of Tenspire and is looking forward to connecting with teachers to promote the love of learning!

Kaitlyn Renfro

The Stay at Home Teacher

Kaitlyn lives in a sweet little town outside of Dallas, Texas. She is the wife of her middle school sweetheart and momma of a spunky one-year-old baby girl. Kaitlyn taught 4th grade for one year, then moved to her dream grade of 1st grade where she taught for 2 ½ years before deciding to become a SAHM. She adores being a momma at home, but couldn’t leave behind her passion for creating resources that both students and teachers are excited about.

Rachel Cornett

Literacy Columnist

Dr. Rachel Peay Cornett is a middle Tennessee native and a second-generation educator. If it has to do with teaching- she loves it! She began her career in the first grade classroom before moving to her current position as a K-5 Academic Interventionist in Rutherford County. Rachel is a fellow with the Collaborative for Student Success and adjuncts at Middle Tennessee State University. She also serves on Tennessee’s Early Literacy Council and writes content for state educator trainings. Rachel resides in Murfreesboro with her husband and two kitties.

Stephanie McConnell

Principal Columnist

Stephanie from Principal Principles has been a school leader for over 10 years. As of this year, Stephanie works with schools as an educational consultant. She is passionate about transforming how we lead schools. Her goal is to equip school leaders with the tools they need to be successful. Stephanie loves to speak on Strategies to Improve Student Achievement and other topics such as Motivating and Inspiring Teachers and Mentoring for Aspiring Leaders. Through her blog, Principal Principles, she has been able to share her passion with school leaders all over the world. Stephanie was named Top 10 Principal in Texas in 2014. She has also received The Distinguished Educator Award in 2015. In her spare time, she loves to spend quality time with her family and friends.  

Brooke Martindale

Classroom Community Columnist

Brooke was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Tennessee when she was 13. She attended Middle Tennessee State University and majored in Early Childhood Education. After teaching 2 year olds in Charleston, South Carolina for a year, Brooke moved back to Nashville and taught Kindergarten in a private school setting. She is currently teaching Kindergarten in a charter school in East Nashville and absolutely loves it! She is thrilled to be a part of the Tenspire journey and teaming up with an amazing group of teachers.

Andrea Brock-Pierce

Classroom Management Columnist

Andrea is a second generation educator and is in her 5th year of teaching the wonderfully challenging grade of Kindergarten! She is thrilled to be an addition to the Tenspire family and is eager to share her love of management and student behavior with readers! Andrea lives and teaches in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with her college sweetheart husband, Brandon. In June of 2016 they became a true family after welcoming their little girl, Poppy Kate, into the world.

Sasha Burnette

Art Columnist

Sasha is from a small town, but moved to Murfreesboro, TN with big dreams. She began her teaching career in 2014 and is now completing her third year as an elementary art teacher. She enjoys spreading her love for art and teaching the students how art making can make a positive impact in their school and personal lives. She enjoys building relationships with all of the students and watching how they progress artistically over the years. Sasha enjoys reading, crafting, time with family and friends, and spending time with her puppy, Delilah.

Kelsie Autterson

First Year Teacher Columnist

Kelsie was born and raised in Michigan. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. After a stressful summer of job applications and interviewing she landed her dream job as a 3rd grade teacher. She is thrilled to be a part of the Tenspire community. She can’t wait to serve as a friend to other first year teachers dealing with the excitement of this rewarding (and sometimes scary) new career. Outside of the classroom Kelsie enjoys shopping, going out for coffee, and spending time with her boyfriend and her puppy, Ellie.

Kathryn Gardner

Kathryn Gardner is a third-year 1st grade teacher. She is SO excited to be joining this team! Her passion is inspiring teachers to be the best they can be and to know their value. Kathryn has a heart for the things of God and believe strongly that He has equipped us for every good work He’s called us to do. Ashley Palmer

Ashley is a California native who spent 8 years teaching in an elementary school classroom before making the transition to being a stay at home mom. Her passion for education led her to continue to make educational resources while working at home. Now, she's tackling the adventures of homeschooling with her two boys, and she's excited to share her journey with you. Katie Holmes

School Psychologist Columnist

Katie is a Licensed School Psychologist in Middle Tennessee who has four years of experience working with students, parents, and teachers. She attended Middle Tennessee State University where she earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Education Specialist degrees. In addition to her experience as a School Psychologist, Katie has worked as an examiner at the Center for Dyslexia at MTSU. Her professional life is dedicated to identifying and advocating for children with disabilities to ensure they receive appropriate interventions and supports. Katie and her husband live in Murfreesboro, TN, with their two pets, a Yellow Lab and German Shepherd. They enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.
